No bank password required. Planning calculations run in your browser. Save an encrypted cloud plan tied to your signed-in account, or export a private plan file.
My next steps calculates the extra payment for a target, shows required and additional payments by account, checks possible payment dates against your cash calendar, and records monthly check-ins. Statement balances update the remaining plan; they are not inferred from transactions. Choose which dashboard sections to display and export your checklist, history and scenarios.
Mortgage tools include recurring, annual and one-time principal payments, target payoff calculations, refinance comparisons and rental scenarios. A separate dated comparison models monthly and biweekly payments, partial payments held by a servicer, and transfer fees using an explicit actual/365 interest assumption. Savings projections can redirect freed debt payments into savings. All results depend on the inputs and stated assumptions.
Verified Plaid notifications support background updates. Users can match bank accounts to debts and opt into saved-balance updates. Separate Plaid Liabilities connections retrieve supported mortgage, credit-card and student-loan details for a statement review before importing rates, payments and due days. Missing and ambiguous data remain visible for manual review. Bank freshness depends on the institution; daily updates are not guaranteed. Current bank testing uses Plaid Sandbox. A separate credit-line lab models income sweeps, mortgage transfers, fees, frozen credit and rate stress alongside a direct-payment alternative. Private optimization compares affordable payoff candidates on your device. Invite your own human coach to a snapshot review with approval, messages and follow-up actions. A staffed coaching service is not included. The app never moves money.

Monthly interest equals the opening balance × APR ÷ 12, rounded to cents. Interest is added before end-of-month payments. We pay the entered required payments, including optional changing-minimum rules and promotional-rate expiry, then allocate extra money using your selected order. The total monthly budget stays fixed; a future required-payment shortfall stops the accelerated projection. Monthly account fees are shown separately from interest. When an account clears, its payment rolls over to the next account. The baseline follows each account’s entered payment terms without rolling freed payments into other accounts.
The highest-APR method targets interest cost; the smallest-balance method targets early account closures. Both are established approaches described by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Neither guarantees a particular result.
This is not a lender payoff quote. The dedicated Mortgage worksheet separately models housing costs, extra principal and a single hypothetical rate reset. Refinance and HELOC comparisons state their assumptions. Actual lender daily-interest conventions, payment allocation, fees, forgiveness and prepayment penalties can change outcomes. Projections stop after 600 months or if an account exceeds $10 billion. A projection that ends before payoff shows partial interest only.
We do not recommend using home equity to pay unsecured debt. Refinancing, existing-HELOC repayment and hypothetical credit-line cycling can be explored in separate worksheets. The cycling lab uses simple actual/365 daily interest and explicit cash-flow assumptions; it does not reproduce a provider’s private algorithm or your lender’s contract. It compares equal starting finances, reports failures and searches only the displayed transfer sizes. Consult a qualified professional when your situation calls for individual advice.
Unsaved planning inputs remain in the browser. Saving to cloud sends your plan to encrypted storage tied to your signed-in account. Connecting a bank through Plaid shares the accounts you consent to; tokens and cached records are encrypted on the server. Disconnect a bank to revoke access and delete its cache; delete your cloud plan separately. Password-protected plan backups are available; ordinary JSON and CSV exports are unencrypted. Optional passkey enrollment protects saved data access. Hosting and Plaid may process operational logs. Reloading clears unsaved edits.
Residual Payoff uses original code, copy and design. It is not affiliated with Money Max Account or another debt-planning provider. This beta does not claim to reproduce proprietary algorithms or coaching services. Plaid linking and on-demand sync require configuration and integration testing; background sync follows verified Plaid notifications when configured.
Use the beta to explore and evaluate. Before a paid launch, independent security and calculation review, accessibility testing, approved production Plaid access and customer support operations still need completion. Subscription checkout and account controls are built but disabled until Stripe is configured and tested. No guaranteed savings, income or debt-free date is promised.
